Preseason: Iwobi Missing in Arsenal’s defeat

The match which was played at the National Stadium had ended 1-1 in full time before going to penalties
to determine the winner.

Luciano Vietto put Atletico Madrid who were without the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Diego Godin and
José Gimenez ahead in the 41st minute.

Youngster Smith Rowe scored a superb solo goal to equalise for Arsenal a minute after the break which
was the first match of team manager Unai Emery.

Match reports revealed that Iwobi who is close to renewing his contract with the Gunners was not
dressed for the encounter.

In the shoot-out, Atletico Madrid scored three kicks, while Arsenal scored once.

Iwobi could be available for selection when Arsenal tackle French champions PSG on Saturday.
