PSG suffer Neymar injury blow

Neymar will play no part in Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League last-16 tie with Barcelona.

The Brazil superstar suffered an injury during PSG’s 1-0 Coupe de France victory at Caen on Wednesday and was substituted on the hour mark.

Scans have shown Neymar has sustained a grade two groin tear, as first reported by French outlet L’Equipe , meaning he is facing up to one month on the sidelines.

The news comes as a major blow to PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino, whose side travel to Barcelona on Tuesday.

Neymar has been in fine form this season with six goals and four assists in 11 Ligue 1 games.

Pochettino was unsure over the extent of the injury as he spoke after the victory at Caen, telling Eurosport : “We’ll see tomorrow with the doctor.
