Randy Orton warned against return to WWE

 

Randy Orton’s wrestling future is in jeopardy after doctors told the superstar not to continue.

Iconic veteran Orton is still recovering from back fusion surgery as of November 2022.

The 43-year-old hasn’t wrestled competitively for almost a year amid his injury struggles.

Orton was last in the ring in May 2022, when he and Matt Riddle lost to The Usos in a title unification clash.

And his future in the sport was thrown into doubt when his father Bob Jnr revealed medical stuff told him not to return to the WWE world.

The veteran is recovering from back surgery in November and hasn’t wrestled in nearly a year

“Cowboy Bob” told Sportskeeda: “He’s training, so we’ll see what happens; I don’t know.

“If he feels ready to go again, I think he could, but again he’s been pretty well taken care of.” I don’t think he needs it.

“And I think the doctors told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do.

‘The Viper’ is a wrestling legend, with 14 world championship titles to his credit in a distinguished 20-year career.

So it could be a while before fans see his trademark RKO again.

There have been earlier indications that at this point in Orton’s career, the injury raises concerns about his ability to play consistently again.

WWE is currently said to have no long-term plans in place for Orton, and it’s unclear what effect the furlough might have on Orton’s contract. WWE has been known to add the time a talent is injured at the end of their contracts.

The 2023 WWE Draft took place earlier this month and Orton was unavailable for selection, suggesting he is a long way from a comeback. His tag team partner at the time of his injury, Riddle, however, moved to RAW.
