Rangers empty with star players out to honour their countries at AFCON

Rangers sweating over the availability of Fashion Sakala later this month with Zambia set for an AFCON reprieve.

The Gers star’s nation failed to make it to the tournament after finishing second in their qualifying group.

However, Zimbabwe, who pipped them to top spot, are now apparently facing expulsion from Africa’s international competition due to governing issues.

Their government are currently running the game in the country rather than the FA, and FIFA threatened a ban should that situation not be resolved.

The January 3 deadline they set has now passed and Zimbabwe face being chucked out.
