Rangers fans blast Leon Balogun over Champions League ouster

Glasgow Rangers fans have expressed their resentment over the club’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League race.

Malmo stopped Rangers 4-2 on aggregate after they won 2-1 Tuesday in Glasgow with Balogun culpable of the goals they scored.

Balogun, 33, was started ahead of Filip Helander after he recovered from a minor injury, but he was caught out of position for Malmo first goal and was then turned easily for the winning goal.

“Leon Balogun is an embarrassment to this club (Rangers),” blasted one angry fan.

“Leon Balogun is not good enough on both goals. Rangers will need to improve dramatically,” complained Angus Mephail.

“Leon Balogun is not good enough at this level,” added another fan, Ian Paterson.

“He was culpable for both goals,” as quoted by scorenigeria.com.ng.
