Ranieri confirms talks with Sampdoria president Ferrero

Claudio Ranieri has declared he wants to stay with Sampdoria.

Ranieri was speaking after victory over Hellas Verona, confirming talks with president Massimo Ferrero.

“We talked today before the game,” he said.

“I won’t tell you what we said, that is our business. I’d like us to get along. I am happy at Sampdoria and would love to stay. Otherwise, I’ll come to Sky as a pundit and take one of your jobs!

“I think the intention is to continue together, but give us time to talk and work things out.”
