Real Madrid puts €25million tag on Dani Ceballos

Arsenal have learned how much they will have to shell out to land Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid in the summer.

But Mikel Arteta’s side will face competition if they want to sign the midfielder permanently, with Real Betis keen on their former player.

Ceballos is in his second season on loan with the Gunners from Madrid, who look set to try and sell the 24-year-old at the end of the season.

The Spain international does not appear to be Zinedine Zidane’s plans, and Los Blancos will aim to cash in on him in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from La Razon, which says Madrid want around €25million (£22m) for Ceballos.

The publication also claims that Betis will rival Arsenal for the midfielder’s signature as they look to replace Nabil Fekir.

France international Fekir has been linked with Bayern Munich and AC Milan, and Betis expect to cash in to the tune of around €40m (£35m) by selling him.

That will give them the funds to be able to afford Ceballos, who played for the La Liga side for two seasons before joining Madrid in a £15m move in 2017.

So, much will depend on how much Arteta wants to keep Ceballos, and whether the Gunners are prepared to splash out.

The midfielder has had mixed fortunes since joining Arsenal on loan under previous manager Unai Emery in the summer of 2019.
