Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is not ruling out a possible move to the MLS.
There have been plenty of potential suitors for the 30-year-old mentioned, such as his former club Tottenham and more recently, Newcastle United, who are expecting a huge influx of spending money once, and if, their takeover is complete.
However, Bale did not rule out a move over to USA as he told the Hat-Trick podcast: “I really like the league, its grown so much over the years.’
“When we went over to play in pre-season the games were difficult…it’s a league that’s on the up and still rising.”
He added: “A lot more players want to come to America now. I would definitely be interested in it,” he said
Should the former Southampton ace move to the MLS he would be among high profile players who have had to play in the Major league at one time or the other.
AC Milan returnee Zlatan Ibrahimovic only recently returned to the Italian league after an impressive run with LA Galaxy. Bale who joined Real Madrid in 2013 has since scored 80 goals for the side in over 169 appearances. But the Spanish club has in recent time be tinkering with the idea of selling the striker to further boost the club’s financial base.
The club is not expected anything less than €175M from would be buyers.
