Real Madrid star vows to be back better and stronger

Another period of injury recovery awaits for Dani Carvajal, whose return only lasted 25 minutes against Valencia on Sunday.

Despite suffering a new issue that could see him miss two months, the right-back is remaining optimistic and positive.

“I told some of my teammates that on Saturday night I had butterflies in my stomach and that I was anxious to come back to do what I’m passionate about,” he said as he shared a social media post on Monday, after it had been revealed that he has a muscle injury in his right thigh affecting the tendon.

“I had worked really hard over the past few weeks…

“Now, it’s time to deal with this latest setback and to start a new countdown to be able to return and have these special feelings.

“I just want to communicate one message: I will come back better and stronger than ever.
