Real Madrid have withdrawn their contract offer to Sergio Ramos and are now preparing for his farewell.
According to ABC, Real’s board are now assuming Ramos will leave this summer, despite a change of coach following Carlo Ancelotti’s appointment.
Indeed, Real president Florentino Perez is now set to call Ramos to discuss how to mark his departure. Florentino is eager to offer Ramos a farewell ceremony.
For his part, with his contract expiring on June 30, Ramos plans to hold a media conference on July 1 or publish an open letter similar to former coach Zinedine Zidane.
The 35 year-old defender is currently away on holiday.
