Remo Stars unveil Gbenga Ogunbote as new head coach

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) new boys Remo Stars have confirmed the appointment of Gbenga Ogunbote as their news head coach.

Remo Stars unveiled the former Enugu Rangers and Enyimba of Aba gaffer this afternoon, at the club Secretariat in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Ogunbote’s contractual details were not disclosed, but it is understood that he put pen to paper for a two-year contract with the club.

The 2018 Aiteo Cup winner will take over from Daniel Ogunbodede who is expected to leave the country for Portugal in the coming days.

Remo Stars gained promotion back to the top flight league after finishing second in Southern Conference of the 2021 NNL Super Eight playoff in Enugu.
