Ribery opens for Bundesliga return

Fiorentina attacker, Franck Ribery, wouldn’t rule out a return to the German Bundesliga. ‘For now, I only think about the Viola’.

The French winger arrived in Florence on a free transfer ahead of 2019-20, but the 37-year-old has been halted by injuries since his move to Serie A.

Ribery has only played 37 competitive games so far for the Viola and revealed he is open for a return to Germany.

“At the moment I only think about Fiorentina, I’m important for the team,” he told Bild. “But I don’t rule out a return to the Bundesliga when I’m finished here.”

The veteran, who won the Bundesliga nine times with Bayern Munich and picked up one Champions League in 2012-13, said he misses the fans in the stadiums.

“Playing without fans is not stimulating,” he added. “I miss the audience a lot.”
