Rohr develops goose pimples over Eagles goalkeepers’ fitness

...after Uzoho's injury

Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has developed goose pimples over the fitness of the national team goalkeepers, shortly after Francis Uzoho’s injury woes.

The tactician said it has not been easy for his crew to get a dependable goaltender to beef up the goalkeeping aspect of the team.

According to him, the Uzoho’s absence in the team would affect Eagles build up in their next international game in November.

Already, he said he has been searching for more options in goal, stressing that he hopes the national team scouts would help the team in that area.

“We have been at the lookout for goalkeepers. Some we have identified would be watched extensively to help us and very soon, we would have them,”he said.

He observed that a good goalkeeper always need more games to stay in proper shape, adding that was why he was not happy when he heard about Uzoho’s injury.

“Uzoho has been playing well in Cyprus and it reflected well in our game against Brazil. It is a pity this is happening now to him. We will miss him when we play in November against Benin Republic in the 2021AFCON qualifiers and Lesotho but we would cope,” he said.Rohr
