Rohr holds first training session ahead Ukraine friendly
Officials of the Embassy of Nigeria in Ukraine, led by the Charge d’Affaires, Mr. Martin Adamu, were at the airport in Dnipro on Saturday evening to receive Coach Rohr and some Eagles’ officials.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles held its first training session this evening at FC Dnipro’s training ground at Dnipropetrovsk, within the Pridniprovsk housing estate ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against Ukraine.

Those who trained were goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Maduka Okoye, defenders William Ekong, Jamilu Collins, Leon Balogun and Bryan Idowu, midfielders Alex Iwobi, Joseph Aribo, Oghenekaro Etebo and Anderson Esiti, and forwards Joshua Maja, Samuel Kalu, Paul Onuachu, Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, Emmanuel Dennis and Moses Simon.

Leicester forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was still been expected as at lunch time.

The 22-year-old who is making a return to the squad after he was not included in the Nations Cup team is still yet to join his teammates.

It’s been a tough start to the season for Iheanacho as he has yet to feature for Leicester this season. The former Manchester City star has been omitted from the Foxes, last two matchday squad.

Nevertheless, he will be hoping to get some minutes in the friendly against the Yellow and Blue as he attempts to get his international career back on track.

It will be the first matchup between the Super Eagles and Ukraine who are managed by former AC Milan striker, Andriy Shevchenko.
