Rohr: Ighalo’s hat-trick right answer to critics

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has revealed that Odion Ighalo’s hattrick was the adequate response to Nigerians who have been critical of his performance for the senior national team.

Ighalo scored three goals in the Eagles emphatic 4-0 home win over the Mediterranean Knights of Libya yesterday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

Rohr in his post match press conference told journalists that he was extremely delighted that the Changchun Yatai attacker has given the answers to Nigerians who have not been convinced of his outing in the Eagles’ jersey despite his spectacular performance in the Chinese Super League.

“I am happy that Ighalo’s goals have answered Nigerians who have been asking me why I keep on invinting him for Eagles games,” Rohr told journalists.

“He played very well and he deserved all the accolades that he has got thus far.”
