Rohr recalls former Eaglets captain omitted from  list

Former Nigeria junior international, Musa Muhammed has been included for the forthcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa on November 17. He becomes the 24th player.

Musa’s name was initially omitted from the 23-man list released by Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr for the encounter which was an error from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) who failed to crosscheck with the coach’s list before going public.

“He is on standby along with Henry Onyekuru and the NPFL players for the game.It was a mix up,”” Rohr said.

The former U-17 captain who lifted the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Dubai was part of the Super Eagles Mohammed has made three international caps for the Super Eagles since making his debut against Tanzania in 2016.

After spending two seasons on loan at Zeljeznicar in Bosnia and Locomotiv Plovdiv in Bulgaria, Musa teamed up with Croatian topflight club, HNK Gorica in August on a three- year deal.

In June this year, Musa featured for Super Eagles Team B against Atletico Madrid at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo which the Spanish side won 3-2 .
