Roma ready to double wages of Mancini – on Mourinho’s approval

Gianluca Mancini is ready to sign a new contract with AS Roma.

New Roma coach Jose Mourinho has approved a new deal for the defender.

Mourinho believes Mancini will play a key role for the Giallorossi next season and Roma are ready to offer him a contract extension until 2025.

La Gazzetta dello Sport says Roma could double his €1.6m-a-year wages and include a €30-40m release clause in the new agreement.

Mancini joined Roma from Atalanta on loan with an option to buy in 2019. The Giallorossi made his move permanent one year ago, paying €19m.
