Atletico Madrid coach, Diego Simeone has warned his players about Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of tonight’s champions league clash against Juventus at the Allianz Arena.
Simeone is aware of the havoc that Ronaldo has caused his team in the past and has warned his players to be up and about.
During his nine-year stay in the Spanish capital, Ronaldo was a perennial thorn in the side for Simeone’s men and netted 19 goals in the many Madrid derbies down the years.
The Portuguese forward also netted a hat-trick for Juventus against Atletico in last season’s first knockout round to send the Spanish side crashing out of the Europe’s premier club competitions.
“We are on a good run of form, but we want to improve in front of goal. We want to be more consistent,” remarked Simeone.
“We must face every game at our best and try to win every match.
“Ronaldo is a champion, he always makes us suffer. He is a champion, No 1, extraordinary.
”He has so many different ways to make the difference.”

Victory against Juventus tonight would see Atletico qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League for the sixth time in the last seven seasons.
