Ronaldo set to MISS Juventus next game
CRISTIANO RONALDO will be benched for Juventus’ next match after his display against Roma on Saturday.
Ronaldo helped Juventus to a 1-0 win over Roma to further tighten their grip on Serie A.
The Turin club are running away with the title this season – in part thanks to Ronaldo arrival from Real Madrid.
The £105m signing has been in exceptional form this season and played every minute of their Serie A campaign so far.
But Juve manager Max Allegri has confirmed Ronaldo will likely be on the bench for their next clash against Atalanta on Boxing Day.
The 33-year-old may be in peak physical form but Juventus want to make sure he does not suffer from burn-out.
Juve also play Sampdoria on December 29 before the Italian top flight enjoys a two-week Christmas break.

“In January 2018, I and the few people who knew what was happening thought it would be very difficult to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to Juve,” he said.
“However, I want to make it clear that the idea started with the player himself. Ronaldo told me he only wanted to play for Juventus.
“That’s where it began and I was in talks with the Bianconeri directors for months, so we all know how those negotiations ended up.
“Now Cristiano is happy with the club and his team-mates, he is satisfied with Serie A and truly happy with Juventus.”
