Ronaldo travels to Dubai for Christmas

Juventus talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo, has reportedly travelled to Dubai for Christmas and the different rules for football players spark controversy.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the Portuguese superstar has decided to spend his holidays in Dubai without quarantine.

And the report claims Ronaldo will not be the only Juventus player to leave Turin and Italy this Christmas. Three or four other teammates had the same idea, flying to warner countries and fewer restrictions.

The newspaper reveals footballers don’t have the same problems returning to work in Italy, as the decree provides that those returning from abroad between December 21 and January 6 must stay in isolation.

But football players can train in isolation, with regular swab tests and have contact only with the team group, carrying out regular tests in the days after their return.

The discussion about the players’ holidays has already started, in a time when many families in Italy will not be able to get together.
