Rotherham boss hails Ajayi for scoring brace

Rotherham United manager Paul Warne has hailed Semi Ajayi for scoring a brace which gave the Millers a 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers in Wednesday’s English Championship game.

Ajayi’s brace gave Rotterham their first away win of the season at the Loftus Park. It is the second brace he is scoring this season.

The Nigeria international opened the scoring in the 71st minute of the encounter before  Bright Osayi-Samuel equalised for QPR.

The 25-year-old scored the winning goal after heading home from Anthony Forde’s cross to help his side claim their first away victory since April.

“It is important for us to pick up points obviously, and that’s our first away win for a while. It means a lot to the lads,” Warne told club website.

“For Forde to put in a quality ball in like that, and for Semi to attack it, especially where our fans were, was a really special moment.”
