Round of 16: Eaglets get 33-year-old ref who has issued five yellow cards
Guatemala referee, Mario Escobar will take charge of tonight’s FIFA U-17 World Cup Round of 16 clash between Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets and Netherlands at the Estádio Olímpico, Goiania in Brazil.
This will be the second match the 33-year-old will be handling after the preliminary game between Brazil and New Zealand which ended 3-0 in favour of the host.
In that game, Escobar who is attending his first world cup issued five yellow cards which means both Nigeria and Netherlands must be cautions not to get into the books of the referee during the encounter.
Escobar will be assisted by Humberto PANJOJ also from Guatemala and Jamaica’s ANDERSSON Nicholas.
