Russia 2018 World Cup Match Tickets : Nigeria behind

... Argentina, Russia lead

Nigeria’s Super Eagles may not have the kind of fans support at their match venues  in Russia to cheer them to victory, going by the latest round of tickets sold by football governing body, FIFA on Tuesday.

The Eagles have been drawn against Croatia, Argentina and Iceland in group D, but fans of the three-time Africa champions have not been busy like fans from other countries who have been purchasing tickets to watch their teams.

On Tuesday, FIFA announced on its website that it had sold almost 1.7 million tickets to fans across the world with fans from Russia, Argentina and USA topping the list of countries.

There was no mention of Nigeria or any other Africa country.

Russia fans dominated by buying 216,134, followed by fans from the U.S. (16,462), Argentina (15,006), Colombia (14,755) and Mexico (14,372).

A final sales phase starts April 18, also first come, first-served.
