Just days before yesterday’s dismissal, Pochettino discussed his ambitions with LaGrada.

He stated: “I’m Latin, I love this city, La Liga, and I love EspanyolBarcelona.

“I have a lot of fun in England, but I do not know when or where, but I would love to go back to Spain.”

Pochettino launched his coaching career with Espanyol before moving to England and Southampton.
