Super Eagles forward, Sadiq Umar, has been shortlisted for LaLiga’s Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards for March.
Umar will compete against Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe, Real Betis’ Isco, Celta Vigo’s Marco Alonso, and Rayo Vallecano’s Pedro Diaz for the Player of the Month award.
The 28-year-old has been in top form for Valencia, scoring three goals in three league appearances this month.
He bagged a brace in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Osasuna on March 2 and later scored the winning goal in Valencia’s 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid on March 8.

For the Goal of the Month award, Umar is up against Rayo Vallecano’s Florin Rațiu and CD Leganes’ Diego Garcia.
The Nigerian international now netted four goals in eight league outings for Valencia this season.
