Selection giving Rohr headache

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has expressed his happiness at the spirit of competition in the
Nigeria’s senior national team ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with Libya on Saturday.

Rohr disclosed that he has more than one player to pick from, from each position and he hinted that
this is giving him selection headache ahead of the game with the Mediterranean Knights billed for the
Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

He said he is thrilled that most of his players are active for their clubs and that with only 18
players to pick from 24 he has been having sleepless nights to ensure that he picks the players ideal
for the assignment at hand.

The Franco-German however admonished the Eagles not to underrate the Mediterranean Knights who have
posted good results in their AFCON and the last World Cup qualifiers.

He disclosed that Libyans have good defenders and a strong team while adding that the talk of a crisis
in the camp of the weekend foes may be far from the truth despite the resignation of Adel Amrouche as
head coach of the Libyan side.
