September 29 NFF Elections: Sale of forms to commence May 21

The Electoral Committee has fixed Saturday, September 29, 2018 as the date for elections into the the executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation.

The Electoral Committee has fixed Saturday, September 29, 2018 as the date for elections into the the executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation.

Chairman of the NFF Electoral Committee Muhammed Sani Katu in a parley with the media in Abuja on Wednesday, disclosed the date as he reeled out the time table.

Katu however clarified that the date “is subject to approval by the NFF Congress and any amendments to the NFF statutes 2010 in view of the NFF Bill before the National Assembly”.

The legal practitioner also disclosed that sales, endorsement and return of Nomination forms would take place between May 21 and June 4, 2018.

The screening of candidates would be done between Thursday, July 19 to July 21 while the release of names of candidates will be announced on July 23.

“The submission of protests/appeals is expected to be done between Tuesday,  July 24 to July 26 Hearing of protests/ appeals will come up between July 27 and July 28.

Release/publication of the final list of candidates will come up on July 30.

The election now comes up on Saturday, September 29th subject to approval by the Congress of the NFF and any amendments to the NFF statutes, 2010 in view of the NFF Bill before National Assembly, Katu concluded.
