Sergio Romero arrives at Man Utd training in luxury Audi

Sergio Romeo waves to photographers as he arrives safely at Manchester United training a day after wrecking his £170,000 Lamborghini in a horror crash.

The back-up keeper escaped unhurt after his supercar smashed through a barrier on his way to the club’s Carrington training ground yesterday morning.

And he looked back in control as he headed into training in a white Audi 4×4 on Tuesday morning ahead of United’s clash against Burnley.

Romero, who was wearing earphones, gave a big thumbs up and wave to waiting photographers as he was followed in by team-mates.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are still reeling from the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool and were today whacked with an FA charge over the reaction to Roberto Firmino’s
disallowed goal.

But at least the gaffer knows that, should anything happen to current No 1 David De Gea, Romero is fit to take his place.

The Argentinian trained yesterday shortly after photos posted to social media showed him standing beside the wreckage.

Victor Lindelof was also pictured arriving today but he quickly did a U-turn and left after feeling unwell.

The defender was sent home as a “precaution”, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Marcus Rashford remains out with a back injury – and Solskjaer said this should lead to more game time for 18-year-old Mason Greenwood.

The Old Trafford boss said: “It’s a blow Marcus being out but that’s football.

“It’s part and parcel of it. He’s been fantastic all season for us and now, unfortunately, we have to do without him.

“Of course, Mason is going to get more chances now.

“Juan [Mata] will have to step up again, so there will be more chances for the ones we’ve got in the squad.”
