Serie A: Inter Milan in a hurry to sign Joaquin Correa

Inter will offer €30m to sign Joaquin Correa and want to close the deal in two or three days, otherwise, they’ll look elsewhere.

The Serie A champions have already signed Edin Dzeko to replace Romelu Lukaku, but Simone Inzaghi could soon welcome a new striker at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Lazio’s Correa is the main target for the Nerazzurri, who are in talks with Lazio. However, the two clubs have failed to reach an economic agreement, so negotiations are still ongoing.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Nerazzurri are ready to offer €30m to sign the Argentinean striker who was also linked with Arsenal earlier this summer.

The offer may not be enough for Lazio as the Biancocelesti want €40m to sell the 27-year-old.

Correa wasn’t even on the bench in Lazio’s Serie A opener against Empoli on Saturday. Maurizio Sarri confirmed during his unveiling press conference that the Argentinean wants to leave the club.

As per Sportmediaset, Correa has snubbed a move to Everton as he only wants a move to Inter.

However, with just one week remaining before the end of the summer transfer window, Inter are not willing to wait for too long as they want to close the deal in two or three days, otherwise, they will abandon negotiations with Lazio to pounce on a different target.

Lorenzo Insigne and Gianluca Scamacca have emerged as possible alternatives for the Nerazzurri.

The Napoli captain could be leaving the Stadio Maradona as he doesn’t seem willing to extend his expiring contract with the Azzurri.
