Serie A: Lazio coach Sarri frustrated with ‘shameful’ draw against Bologna

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri was left unhappy after their 0-0 draw with Bologna.

Sarri felt they were not aggressive in front of goal.

He said, “We played with focus, good football for 80 metres of the pitch, not so much in the final third, but we were against a Bologna side during a very positive period of form.

“If Ciro Immobile had been able to play regularly, we’d have an extra 18-19 goals. It’s not as if we are not having the shots on goal, we create the chances and did so again this evening. There were also some situations where we didn’t get a shot away and that was just shameful.”

He added, “I hope there is always something missing, because the reason to be a coach is to be motivated to seek perfection. It’s better if the objective is utopia, because that leaves fuel in the tank.”
