Serie A: Milan still need two signings to complete squad – Longoni

AC Milan started the season with a win, beating Udinese 4-2, and there is optimism for what’s to come. The transfer market is still open, though, and the Rossoneri could do with a few signings.

Stefano Pioli has already made it clear that a centre-back and a midfielder could help him a lot. Franck Kessie hasn’t really been replaced and the same goes for Alessio Romagnoli, which is why questions remain with regard to the market.

According to Andrea Longoni in his latest piece for MilanNews, a backup is needed for the defence as Milan already have Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer. For the midfield, however, a ‘bigger name’ could be needed depending on how Pioli views the role of Tommaso Pobega.

Amidst many rumours and links, however, there is also the hypothesis that Milan could rely on the squad they currently have. It’s perhaps not that likely, but it’s something the Rossoneri fans must keep in mind in these last few weeks of the mercato.
