Sevilla 0-3 Leganes: Omeruo dazzles again

Nigerian International, Kenneth Omeruo posted another impressive outing in the La Liga to help Leganes leave Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan with a 3-0 away win  tonight.

Omeruo who was deployed in the heart of the defence by manager Mauricio Pellegrino in a 3-5-2 formation also ensured that Leganes did not concede as the Madrid based side continue to chase a respectable finish on the log.
Youssef En-Nesyri and Martin Braithwaite scored two quick goals in the first half before Oscar eventually grabbed the third in the 82nd minute to send Leganes to the 9th position on the La Liga table with 45 points from 36 matches.
Omeruo who played for the entire duration of yesterday’s game was named in the Spanish LaLiga Team of the Week for match day 35 after an impressive performance for Leganes against Celta Vigo last weekend.
The high point of the Chelsea’s loanee display against Celta was a last-ditch goal line clearance to help his side to a vital point in their bid to remain in the LaLiga.
The Eagles utility defender has made 26 league appearances for Leganes this season, starting in 25 of those games and has also helped them to keep seven clean sheets in the La Liga.
