Sevilla to Chelsea: Pay €80m for Kounde or no deal

Jules Kounde’s potential departure from Sevilla this summer is growing increasingly less likely, as his club have made their position clear to Chelsea either pay 80 million euros or he will stay put.

Chelsea have not made a new offer in the last few hours and Sevilla believe that this will remain the case until the end of the window.

Kounde already has a verbal agreement with the current European champions over a contract until 2026.

The 22-year-old was not included in the squad which travelled to Elche for their LaLiga Santander fixture, and he will now join up with the France squad for the international break.

Unless a huge surprise occurs, Kounde will remain a Sevilla player beyond the end of this summer transfer window.
