Shanghai Shenhua ‘alerted’ Man Utd as Ighalo’s loan deal expires next month

Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, have reminded Manchester United about the expiring date of Odion Ighalo’s loan deal.

According to the Daily Star, Ighalo’s stint back in the Premier League is set to end on January 31 ahead of his return to his parent club in China.

Ole Solskjaer who is under pressure to perform this season, is preparing to lose Man Utd pair Ighalo, Jesse Lingard.

Solskjaer has virtually rendered the Nigerian redundant this season, was hoping to continue his search for a new centre-back and right-sided attacker.

Yet the report added that Solskjaer could now target cover elsewhere with at least two stars set to leave next month.

Lingard is once again being tipped for the Old Trafford exit door having been linked with a move to Spurs in the summer.
