Siasia begs kidnappers: Release my mum, I’ve been jobless for 3 years
Former Super Eagles’ coach, Samson Siasia has appealed to the kidnappers of his mum, Mrs. Ogere Siasia to consider his present financial status and release his mother without delay.According to family sources, the gunmen who abducted Mrs. Siasia in the early hours of Monday have reportedly called a cousin of Samson Siasia with a foreign number, demanding N70m as a ransom for the release of the 80-year-old woman but the former Flying Eagles’ gaffer said he has been jobless for three years and therefore cannot afford such a huge sum.
Siasia who is currently out of the country also revealed in an interview with Creek FM in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State that he has not spoken personally with the kidnappers.
“The kidnappers I just want to say please, I beg una..The woman don old please release her abeg. I don’t have a job in the last three years. She is an old woman, with this cold, she may not survive it.I don’t have that kind of money they are asking for” he said. Samson’s appeal was coming a few days after his father, Pa Commander Siasia also called on the Police to make sure his wife was released alive to him.
Pa Siasia made the appeal when the Bayelsa Police Commissioner, Mr. Uche Anozia paid
a visit to Odoni on Tuesday.
The 93-year-old man who commended the efforts of the police also appealed to them to redouble them t bring back his kidnapped wife.
“My wife was taken away since Monday and up till now, I have not set my eyes on her. Please, help me to bring her alive to me. Thank you for your efforts,” he said.
Unknown gunmen invaded Odoni community in early hours of Monday and kidnapped Mrs. Ogere Siasia and two others, Mrs. Florence Douanana, 65, and Selekire Douanana, 17. This is the second time in four years that Samson Siasia’s mother will be kidnapped by gunmen who fled the community to an unknown destination through the River Nun.
The gunmen also attacked another apartment in Odoni community and kidnapped 66-year-old Florence Douanana and her 17-year-old daughter.
