Sierra Leone Captain recovers from COVID-19 ahead of Eagles clash

Leone Stars of Sierra Leone captain Umaru Bangura will now be available for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria after recovering from Coronavirus.

Bangura along with the team’s fitness coach Philli Kor and Head of Communications for the National Sports Authority, Eric Batilo Fomba had tested positive for COVID-19 after the team’s international friendly against Mauritania this month.

The Eagles welcome their opponents on November 13 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the Edo state capital.

The reverse fixture will take place four days later in Freetown.
