Sierra Leone home-based player replaces captain ahead Eagles clash

Home-based player, Shieku Conteh has been invited as a late replacement for FC Zurich center back Umaru Bangura ahead of Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Nigeria.

Bangura would be unavailable after getting yellow-carded in the first leg in Benin last Friday.

He had picked up his first caution of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Lesotho on matchday one.

The experienced central defender has been an influential player for John Keister’s side, logging the full ninety in each of the three matches played by the Leone Stars in the qualifiers.
