Simon tasks Eagles to take Tunisia tie seriously

Super Eagles midfielder, Moses Simon has admonished his teammates to pick up the pieces of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final loss to Algeria and strive to win the third place game tomorrow in Cairo, Egypt.
A stoppage-time Riyad Mahrez’s free-kick strike broke the hearts of the Nigerian team at the Cairo International Stadium but Simon who was shattered by the manner of loss stated that they must try to lift their game against the Carthage Eagles to win the third-place game at the Al Salam Stadium, Cairo.
“We were disappointed because we think we didn’t deserve it,” Simon told journalists.
“I think Mahrez is a smart and good player. He decided everything and they won.
“We all know that we are disappointed but as professionals, we just have to pick it up from where we stopped and try to lift our game to ensure that we play better against Tunisia.”
