Six Days Break for High Flying Rangers International

 

After a clinical defeat of Algerian side USMA last Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, players of the Rangers international have been handed a six days break to enable them refresh and spend the Christmas with their families.

The club informed that the six days break which took effect from Monday will end on December 30th when training is expected to resume as the club awaits new play-off opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup on one hand and the possible resumption of the new Nigeria professional football league on January 13.

“The boys have been given a six days break. They will resume on Sunday, December 30th” the club said

The Gbenga Ogunbote tutored side that has received basketful of congratulatory messages from Nigerians at home and in the diaspora are hoping to re-enact their impressive runs of the 70 and 80s when they were not only regular on the continent but sent shivers down the spine of opponents.

Rangers and Lobi Stars competing in the Confederation Cup and Champions league respectively have so far given their fans across the country a lot to cheer about.  As they await their next opponents, fans who expressed opinion about their effort so far urged them to maintain the tempo insisting that they stand a good chance of making it all the way to the final.
