Son Heung-min in Spurs squad against Red Star Belgrade

Son Heung-min has been included in the Tottenham squad for their crucial Champions League clash against Red Star Belgrade.

The South Korean star was left traumatised following his tackle on Andre Gomes on Sunday at Goodison Park, which led to the Everton man suffering a fractured dislocation to his ankle.

Harry Kane, meanwhile, has also travelled with the rest of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for their clash in Serbia on Wednesday night after missing the Everton game through illness

Tottenham posted a video on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon of the squad preparing to board the plane in London.

Son was visibly distressed and inconsolable following the aftermath of the incident with Gomes in the Premier League and has been offered counseling since by Tottenham.

Tottenham have appealed against the red card Son was shown after the incident and team-mates have rallied around the forward since.

‘We will try to pick him up as much as we can. It’s tough right now,’ said team-mate Ben Davies.

‘It is just about making sure that he realises he didn’t go out there to hurt anyone.

‘He thinks that people may see that in him, but it is not the case. It’s a freak moment in football. Son can’t let himself be too down about it.

‘It shakes you up, it really does. It doesn’t matter if it is your team-mate or not. You can see the emotion across the pitch.

‘Nobody goes on the pitch to hurt anyone, especially not somebody like Son, who is a bit broken in there (dressing room) to deal with what has happened.
