South Africa hammer Seychelles 6-0 to top Group E

South Africa’s Bafana Bafana are now in the driving seat of Group E after a 6-0 defeat of Seychelles in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier played on Saturday.

An own goal from Nigel Hoareau in the 23rd minute and two quick goals from Thulani Hlatshwayo and Lebo Mothiba in the 25th 27th minutes gave South Africa a three goal lead before half time.

South Africa had to wait till the 74th minute to score their fourth through Percy Tau while Dino Ndlovu made it five in the 81st minute.

Teboho Mokoena wrapped it up for the home side in the 90th minute to further compound Seychelles woes who are without a point in Group E.

South Africa now have seven points from three matches and remain undefeated in group E.

The reverse fixture comes up next Tuesday in Seychelles.

Nigeria are now second in the group after today’s 4-0 victory against Libya who have slipped to the third position.
