South Africa vs Nigeria: Eagles are playing with confidence–Finidi

The Super Eagles are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment and should beat South Africa in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Saturday, November 17 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, according to football legend George Finidi.

The former Ajax and Real Betis winger believes in the ability of Gernot Rohr’s men even though he reckons that the Bafana Bafana will be motivated to beat the Eagles after snatching a shock 2-0 victory during the match-day one of the qualifiers in Uyo.

“Nigeria is playing with lots of confidence and I believe they’ll win on Saturday,” Finidi told SportingLife.ng.

“South Africa always want to beat Nigeria especially after their victory in Uyo – that’s why they’ll fight till the end but the Super Eagles will have an edge at the end.”

Nigeria have since bounced back from a poor 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign after failing to make it out of the group consisting of Argentina, Iceland and finalist Croatia.
