Versatile erstwhile Nigeria attacking midfielder and Delta State Football Association chief, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, has called on Nigerians to stop juxtaposing the present Super Eagles with the dream team of  1994 as eeach team is unique in their own way.

The 1994 Africa Cup of Nation winner told Brila FM monday that Nigerians have to stop comparing
players with others, as they all have their special qualities and need to focus on these qualities to
bring out the best in them.

Okocha said that this comparison might have contributed to the Eagles early ouster from the Russia 2018
World Cup, as he pleaded with Nigerians to continue supporting the team as the team is still a work in
progress with lot of talent.

‘’We need to stop comparing this present group of players in the Eagles to that of the 1994 set, no
player can be like Okocha, Daniel Amokachi, Kanu, Taribo’’, the crafty dribbler said.

According to the former PSG of France star, “the 1994 team quality is totally different, our style,
character, and playing pattern cannot be compared to theirs, so we have to put a stop to this now so
the players would focus on their individual growth if the team want to forge ahead.

‘’All these players are unique and different in their own way and we must learn to make use of what we
have,’’ Okocha added.
