Having been seen wiping away tears as he left Barcelona’s training ground for the last time yesterday, Suarez had to take a moment to compose himself when the emotions got the better of him.
Having arrived from Liverpool in a £74 million deal six years ago, Suarez went on to score 198 goals in 283 appearances and departs the club as the club’s third-highest ever goalscorer – with only Lionel Messi and Cesar ahead of him in the rankings.
