Remo Stars restored parity in the second half through Adebayo Lekan after an assist from Adams Olamilekan.
Dayo gave Remo Stars the lead for the first time in the game with a screamer in four minutes of added time.
Rivers United, however, fought back immediately, with substitute Lukman Adefemi scoring the leveler.
River United are on four points while Remo Stars are on two points on the log. In the last match of MatchDay 2, Sunshine Stars who lost their first match against Rivers United held Bendel Insurance to 1-1 draw to pick their first point in the championship.
