Super Eagles defender closes in on Watford move

Super Eagles and Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong is reportedly on the cusp of joining Watford.

According Gazzetta dello Sport as reported by Tutto Udinese, Ekong has already said farewell to his Udinese teammates and will join the Hornets’ push for automatic promotion back to the English Premier League.

Watford suffered relegation to the English Championship last season after ending the campaign in 19th spot, following a run of three straight defeats in the final three matchdays.

They’ve started their pursuit of top-flight football with a win and draw from their first two matches of the 2020/21 season.
