Super Eagles midfielder sends get well soon message to injured colleague

Everton midfielder, Alex Iwobi has wished teammate, Andre Gomes speedy recovery after undergoing surgery on a fracture-dislocation to his right ankle on Monday.

Iwobi watched who is yet to forgive himself for giving away the ball for Tottenham Hotspurs’ goal watched as Gomes picked up a horrific injury in Sunday’s premier league fixture at Goodison Park.

“Wishing You a Speedy Recovery Bro, You’ll Be Back Stronger Gomes,” tweeted Iwobi on Monday.

Gomes was hacked from behind by South Korea international, Son Heung-min after receiving a pass from Iwobi.

The unfortunate incident, however, led to Son getting a red card as Gomes received treatment on the pitch before he was stretched out.
