Super Eagles Player Ratings against Czech Republic

Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Wednesday lost to Czech Republic 1-0 in their last warm-up game at the
Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion in Austria.  Tomas Kalas scored for the Czechs in the 25th minute.

Francis Uzoho: Despite conceding in the 25th minute, Uzoho made some good saves and has shown that his
confidence is growing by the day. (8/10)

William Troost-Ekong: Ekong was exposed in the latter stage of the first half but stepped up his game
in the second half (5/10)

Leon Balogun: He did well with the aerial balls, but still needs to work very hard with his defensive
abilities ahead Nigeria’s opener against Croatia (6/10)

Brian Idowu: His passes weren’t accurate and didn’t do much in the defense. Little wonder
he was replaced by head coach Gernot Rohr (4/10)

Abdullahi Shehu: It was not Shehu’s day (5/10)

Mikel Obi: His workrate was okay but failed to create the kind passes for the attackers to nail
Austria. (6/10)

John Ogu: A good replacement for Ogneyi Onazi. Very mobile in the midfield and came close to scoring
in the first half. (7/10)

Wilfred Ndidi: He played safe since he is just recuperating, but did well in hisdefensive midfield role. Had some of his shots saved. (7/10)

Alex Iwobi: Made efforts to score but was checked by the opposition. (7/10)

Odion Ighalo: He was not fed with the right passes upfront. (6/10)

Victor Moses: He was stylish as usual and appeared cautious at the same time. Had the opportunity to
score in the first half (6.5/10)

Substitutes:

Elderson Echiejile: He made little impact in the left back. (5/10)

Tyronne Ebuehi: He replaced Abdullahi in the right back position and was very lively. (8/10)

Ahmed Musa: Made little contributions

Kelechi Iheanacho: Came on for Mikel Obi and failed to get the equalizer.

Simeon Nwankwo: He was a passenger upfront (5/10)
