Super Eagles stars escape punishment at Scottish Rangers

Super Eagles pair Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun escaped Rangers axe after coach Steven Gerrard suspended five teammates for violating COVID-19 protocol

Despite everything having gone Glasgow Rangers’ way this season, the Scottish club have to take the measure to drive home the importance of respecting rules.

The aforementioned individuals all attended a house party whilst nationwide lockdown rules were in place throughout the United Kingdom.

Gerrard was not best pleased by the situation and named the five players who broke the rules, removing them from the club’s squad that faced Royal Antwerp in the Europa League on Thursday.

“We’re very disappointed and will address this issue internally,” Gerrard declared.

“The players will be punished and for the moment they will be removed from the team whilst they isolate themselves.
