Super Eagles to pocket N720m for winning bronze at AFCON
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will get $2m (N720m) for finishing third at the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt from the Confederation of African Footall (CAF).
A total of $7m broken into $4.5m and $2.5m will go to champions Algeria, the Teranga Lions of Senegal for finishing as runners-up respectively. The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia that defeated by a lone goal to win the bronze in the third place will also earn $2m.
Host nation, Egypt who were eliminated in the Round of 16 by South Africa will get $670, 000 along with the other teams that exited at this stage.
While Angola and Kenya and other teams who finished third in their groups will pocket $620, 000 each.
